Different Dining Locations Around The Home

Use different places around the home for dinner parties.

Eating has become one of society’s major past times and eating at home has been the new eating out for quite a few years now. We’ve all developed better cooking skills and we have access to good ingredients from almost any supermarket. And even if you’re not the world’s greatest cook, you can always get catered meals delivered to your door. It’s great to have friends over for dinner and enjoy each other’s company over a meal and it can be fun to use different places around the house for dinner parties.

Of course, a safe bet is always the dining room. Most people have a smart set of dining room furniture in their dining room, whether they go for the classic polished wood look, or they like the more modern and contemporary feel of glass and metal.

However, it can be a little dull always setting up meals for your visitors in the dining room, especially if you want to take advantage of your beautiful garden during the summer months. If you have a garden you are proud of, it’s good to be able to share it with your dinner guests. Of course, the obvious answer here is to invite people over for a barbecue and enjoy a meal out on the patio. There are some great garden dining sets now available in hardwood that can stand any weather.

If you want something really special though, that you can even use when it’s raining, you could consider building a summer house in a corner of the garden. If you choose to build an octagonal or hexagonal shape, these give ample room for a good sized dining table and chairs to be set up in there year round. It’s simple enough to run some cabling down to the summer house so that you have light and power in there, and you could even add heating so that you can eat out there on early spring and autumnal nights.

Look around your home and see where you could offer your guests a dinner party with a twist and check out Harveys Furniture on Facebook for upcoming promotions on dining tables and chairs.
