Cleaning Tip of The Day Lemon Brass Cleaner

Thought that I would randomly post a cleaning tip that my great grandmother would use to clean her house.

For today’s tip we are going to clean brass with two ingredients found in your local grocer all year round. Start with a couple of lemons and a plate of regular house salt. Slice the lemons in half and dip cut side in to salt and use like a scrub brush on brass, and bronze but be careful never use on plated metals it will ruin the finish. After scrubbing the metal with the lemon wipe off all the salt and lemon residue with a damp cloth and polish with crumpled news paper. Cleaning this way will be much easier on someone with asthma or sever allergies and will leave your house smelling fresh and clean and not over taken with cleaning fumes.

  1. Nice one sir, see you around

  2. Thanks for reminding me that I don’t need to use purchased cleaners for house hold clean ups!
