Cabinets- Tradition and History.
Broadly understood, the term “cabinet” does not represent or comfortable wardrobe in the past. Cabinets are used to store important documents and other items of value that is used especially as desks, or desks. There were wall cabinets, collectors cabinets and file cabinets, all manufactured with the finest materials with great care to detail: some of these cabinets were true works of art.
What you probably knew nothing of the cabinets is that the average age in many that were designed to hide valuables – which contained secret compartments, which are still very functional in many situations (to keep the gun out of reach of children, to conceal other valuables in the absence of a safe, etc.).
Today “cabinet” is the closet or cupboard, or in the political sense of the term “persons designated by a head of state to head executive departments of government and act as official advisers” (but this is not the issue of this article).
Today, the Cabinet refers almost exclusively to the kitchen cabinets. A Google search will lead to all sorts of sites selling all sorts of cabinets and rarely the manufacturers of desktops. The cabinets are also great modern cabinets with many drawers and shelves or special cabinets to keep jewelry and tools, basically, the cabinets could be used to store anything: papers, books, tools, dishes, clothes, shoes, collectibles, jewelry, porcelain, etc.
Exclusive furniture stores cabinets construction of various materials: luxury furniture are made of precious woods, tools, cabinets are made from steel, other metals or plastics. The only places to buy original furniture (desks or art designed wall cabinets) are the antique shops, garage sales or flea market.
Modern cabinets are very practical pieces of furniture. They are designed to store anything, from paper to the tools, so they are rugged and safe (especially jewelry cabinets). Some are designed to be authentic pieces of interior decoration, that match the rest of your furniture or make a special, the original note to the general decoration.
If you are lucky to have an antique cabinet in your home (or your grandmother’s house, or a long forgotten attic), not just throw it! With antique furniture that you never know what their real value. And from the offices (in the original meaning and purpose) are very rare, actual outcome may be great with something they consider junk. Even eBay has rare treasures in the thousands of offers. Sometimes it is cheaper to decorate your home with old furniture (and old furniture has the ability to give a sense of tradition, history and culture throughout the interior) to invest in new furniture (which often is not as strong and valuable as old furniture).
So once more: taking care of their old cabinets, let the story at home, protect and take care! There are objects that represent centuries of history, art movements and the value of the description and give a special social status to their owners. And closets could be some of those objects.
