Baking Soda is one of the very versatile natural cleaning aids which are easily available in our kitchen. It is not only use in cooking but it can do you more. Here are 5 alternatives of baking soda that you may never think of:

Removal of Ink Marks or Blotches in the Flooring
mix baking soda plus vinegar and simply brushes it to the area where there are inks.

Silver Ware Cleaning
rub your silverwares with the mixture of baking soda, water and salt, then towel dry afterwards.

Deodorizes Carpet
sprinkle ample baking soda into the carpet or rug, leave it for 10 to 15 minutes, and then vacuum the carpet. The baking soda will absorb the odor.

Removal of Tough Grime in the Oven
-make a paste out of the baking soda by adding water. Apply it to the tough grime in your oven or counter top. Let it stand for 10 minutes, then wipe it clean. If the grime is really stubborn and cannot be removed, mix vinegar and baking soda, then repeat the same step.

Laundry Aid
Removal of perspiration stains – for light colored fabric only. Wet the area where the stains are and then rub in some baking soda. Then laundry as usual.
