Being more energy conscious

There are many different ways to be more energy conscious and not only save on your energy expenditure for the sake of the environment and make our resources of this sector go further but also help you to save money in the process:

  • Solar panels: These simple yet effective devices are attached to a roof or in the exposed sunshine near a home or office to supply free energy to them.
  • Programmable thermostat: If you have already considered cheap energy then investing in a programmable thermostat will be your next port of call as these handy devices manage themselves after you input your preferences so no energy goes to waste.
  • Energy saving light-bulbs: despite sometimes being a little more expensive, these light-bulbs will give you more bang for your buck in the long run as they use less electricity to give you light meaning every time you flip a switch you’re saving money and energy.
  • Eco appliances: Investing in ’smart technology’ in your home such as devices that go into ’sleep mode’ when not in use for a certain amount of time is a hands free way of saving energy in your home. We often forget to switch things off and if they switch themselves off, they’re helping out by being eco-friendly through energy efficiencies.

If you are attending the All-Energy Exhibition & Conference 2012 then tell us what exhibition you’re going to see or comment and tell us about the speakers when you do go. If you have any tips on saving money through smart energy usage then why not share them with us!
