Ingredients
1 cup water
1/2 cup liquid castile soap
1 cup baking powder
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 squirt bottle
If you would like a floral aroma, add a little essential oil of your choice.
How to
1.Mix all ingredients together in a large measuring cup. When you add vinegar the liquid will fizz up.
2.Pour in squirt bottle and use for cleaning bathrooms. You can also use this to clean the toilet bowl. Use this cleanser as often as you like.
If you only do real bathroom scrubbing once a week, keep a spray bottle of white vinegar in the bathroom to make your weekly cleaning easier.
Spray the grime ring around bathroom after baths.
Spray the shower doors to prevent hard water buildup.
Spray the shower door tracks.
Spray along the grout to prevent mold and mildew.
Spray around faucets to prevent hard water deposits.
Other uses for a common household product found in the kitchen.
Make a dry shampoo for your dog by shaking 1 cup baking soda over your dog’s fur. Leave it on five minutes and brush it out.
Keep an open box of soda near the stove. In case of fire toss on a handful of soda to extinguish fire.
Sprinkle soda in garbage to neutralize odors.
Fill small bags with soda to put in shoes to keep them smelling fresh. You can cut off the toes of old sox and tie to create bags.

These chemicals in cleaners are horrible. I love your idea. What
’s up with the ads that play and you cant get them off – they’re on everyone’s page. So annoying.

Very useful info. I just wonder about the mixing of bicarb (an alkaline or base) and vinegar (an acid) which in theory at least should cancel each other out?

This is awesome. going to give it a try. I’ve used Mr. Scrub bubbles, Lysol and baking soda & can’t seem to get the grime and mildew off the side of the tub. I scrub really hard and stays the same.

This is great. I don’t like using certain cleansers because they have strong odors. This is a great way to make your own cleanser. Thanks for the information.

or.. just dont clean.
Where I live, everything that goes down the drain goes into the septic field so it goes back into the underground water supply or runs off eventually, so it is VERY important to use eco friendly cleaners.

I am going to try this. My mom washed the tub the other day and I could smell the stuff all the way on the opposite end of the house in the living room. It even overpowered our potroast!
