Long Life to The Chinese Scroll Calendars!
Some Chinese/Japanese restaurants give these scroll calendars; they sometimes have quite beautiful drawings but often they don’t. Here is a scroll calendar re-use idea.
If you keep a scroll calendar from last year or even older and you don’t like it anymore, you may be interested in convert it into a new piece of decoration.

Years ago I started using it as an earring holder. How? It is really simple.
The easiest way: just turn the Chinese scroll calendar over. The wall side is blank and even, and you only have to hang your earrings between the paper strips.

If you want go to further, get watercolours (or any other colouring stuff) and use your imagination to paint that blank side.

This time, for example, I wanted a colourful design, so I painted a degraded background like this:

And then, once dried, I went on with some red poppies.

When finished, you can use it like a home-made scroll painting or like a decorated earring and brooches holder.

Hope you like it!
