Features of Modern Feng Shui

Today, feng shui is only an observational science and may not stand up to scientific scrutiny. Perhaps in the future there will surely be more scientific validation of the beliefs held by millions of people.

Modern feng shui revolves around object placement in the home, garden and workplace. Feng shui says that the flow of energy in the environment can directly affect our health, relationships and career.

Modern feng shui however is plagued with misconceptions. Indiscriminate usage of chimes and fishes mirrors and flutes have added a nonscientific nature to this science. These inaccuracies have clouded the nature of feng shui. In fact, these popular assumptions can make the practitioner seem like an eccentric. The usage is to be governed by common sense.

While it’s important to translate feng shui to our modern lives, it should be done without losing respect for its deep rooted spirituality. While there may not be great amounts of scientific evidence behind the concepts of feng shui yet, many people believe strongly in the concepts presented.

Already there has been proof of the psychological effect of colors and strength of lightning. Feng Shui says red can cause anger and blue can cool you down. It increases blood pressure and blue lowers it.
