Decorating Your Home Using Brick, Granite and Other Stone
Stone has a wide variety of applications and can be used to greatly enhance the beauty and function of your home.
Brick, round rock, crushed stone, granite, cobblestones, volcanic rock, and boulders are some types of stone used in and around the home.
Some stone is actually man made. Manufactured stone has been around for awhile-actually since the nineteen hundreds. Manufactured stone has the advantage of being lighter than naturally occurring stone. It also costs less to install.

Cuts in stone are achieved with a combination of an abrasive and water. Cut stone is used in every part of the home. Granite is a favorite when it comes to kitchens, since this material is very durable. Although they are expensive, granite countertops are very tough, and will not be damaged by a hot dish from the oven. Granite is very resistant to stains.
Stone can be used in decorative displays in the home. Stone accessories are used in the kitchen, bathroom, and stone sculpture looks great in the living room. Stone in the form of pebbles can be used with houseplants.

Architectural Garden and Landscaping Rocks
Architectural garden and landscaping rocks can be used in indoor and outdoor gardens and flower arrangements. Apart from their decorative function, stones in the garden can also be used to control erosion. Stone can be used to create walkways in the garden.
You can use natural stones in ponds or to line flower beds. When used as mulch, stone keeps moisture in the soil.
