Goodbye, Commute

I am a homemaker, wife, mom and independent business owner. I could have gone back to “work” when our baby was born, but we all know what 40 hours each week turns into. I couldn’t imagine my baby being in daycare full time knowing that when our family was together, we’d be exhausted and stressed. There had to be another option.    

I looked for careers online and ran into scams, waiting lists and every obstacle thinkable. Even the jobs I was qualified for required up-front money or a waiting period. Some jobs were contracted out, which would just result in work every now and then. When I did get the work, I’d have to rush to meet my deadline. This avenue was not feasible for me. I needed something legitimate and flexible.

Finally, I came across an opportunity that offered family benefits, a 401k, flexible schedule and more. The company offering the opportunity for independent business owners was a 20 year old discount health plan company. I knew this was something I could be successful at: an opportunity to partner with a solid industry leader in such a high-demand field was a no-brainer.

I became an independent business owner and I love it. I own my business and enjoy tax breaks – I write off so much! My schedule is mine to make because I am the boss. I work online, over the phone and a little around town. Most people I know soley work online. The beauty of it is that you get to choose because it’s your business.

I receive free training through daily training calls, e-mails and direct contact with my team.

My duties are very simple. I sign people up for our incredible health and dental discount plans. I also help people do the same thing I’m doing.

This opportunity is such a blessing in my life. I’m able to do all the things I love every day because of my business. By running a home-based business, I provide my family with so much more than money.
