Over the decades, gardening has been an art of growing plants. It is the practice of growing mainly ornamental plants. They are known for their flowers and appearance of the plant as a whole.
Ornamental gardens were known in ancient times, a famous example being the “Hanging Gardens of Babylon”. When speaking about gardening, we need to know about gardener too. Gardener is the person involved in gardening. The term gardener is used to describe garden designers and landscape gardeners, who are involved in designing of gardens.

Winter is an important period in the gardening season, more than we think, as plenty of plants grow during this season. Coming to winter gardening, it is something that has been done for many years but not a well-known type that comes to mind when we talk about gardening. Many people like us don’t have time to plant and grow garden. This is due to the type of climate and location they stay. The winter gardening happens a lot and it may happening now too in your neighbor’s house, that you don’t even know. As the name suggests, winter gardening is done during the winter months and it is done within one’s home. This works out well for those people who have to rely on their own resources to get them through the winter. We can strategically plan a winter garden so that we can enjoy color and attractive plants all year long.

As we are looking through gardening, we also need to know about the garden pest. It is generally an insect, plant or animal which disturb gardening in the way of disturbing the soil, reducing the plant quality or killing the plant as whole. The role of a gardener is not only gardening but also removing unwanted pests from the garden. He must choose a right technique to remove the pest so that the plants are not affected.
Unlike summer, the winter gardening takes lot of money as the energy cost of heating and lighting the building is expensive. It will be less expensive if we are growing a small garden. The gardening activity during winter is kind of an exercise for us instead of relaxation.
