The white pine tree is the fastest growing plant of all the pines. Its feature is being a five-needled plant.
White pine can be recognized very easily because it is the only five-needled plant. Perhaps it is the fastest growing plant of all pine trees.
Its height can be as high as 150 feet. It grows more than 2 feet per year. It can spread up to 40 feet.
It is a beautiful pine tree which makes a good ornamental specimen. Its needles are delicate, soft and light-bluish green. It can be used as décor for the home. One advantage of choosing this plant is that it can be transplanted easily. It grows best in moist, well-drained and in full sun.
The most important problem with this plant is that it cannot at all tolerate air pollution. Thus it is not suitable in city sides, or along roads.
It is grown extensively as Christmas tree.
