What Plants Grow Best Under Pine Trees?

Pine Needles contain high acidic matter when decomposing and Pine Trees absorb a lot of water from around the surrounding roots. Choosing the right plants can save a gardener a lot of time and grief.

When planting under Pine Trees, there are a few things to consider. Choosing a plant that thrives in acidic soil is necessary because the Pine Needles contain high acidic matter when decomposing. Also you would want a plant that thrives in Partial Shade to Full Shade, depending on the fullness of the Pine Tree itself.

Some plants that grow under trees can be Bulbs, Tubers, Vines, Shrubs, and Ornamental Hedges. All of these can be beautifully grown and created into a landscape masterpiece.
