Strawberry Preserve Recipe

A simple and easy recipe to make homemade Strawberry Preserve.

Berries are rich in Vitamin C and are well known for their immune boosting properties. The best way to consume fruit is to have it fresh and raw. But what do you do when it’s strawberry season and you can’t possibly eat it all before it starts to perish. Like with most berries, strawberries too don’t have a very long shelf life.

So here’s a suggestion make a preserve to have with your toast in the morning or a scone at tea time or perhaps with cream and meringue as a post dinner dessert…The possibilities are endless when it comes to the use of strawberry preserve.

And the recipe to make Strawberry Preserve is so simple and easy. There is really no reason why you should not try it out:

Strawberry Preserve Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup ground sugar

3 cups water

3 cups chopped strawberries 

Method:

Dissolve sugar in water and bring to boil. Turn the flame low and let the sugar and water boil till  the water is reduced to half. Stir occasionally. Add the chopped strawberries and bring to boil just once again. Turn off the flame and let you preserve cool completely before storing.
