Sitting at Home in The Rain
There’s nothing more wonderful.
Sitting at home and enjoying the soft “pitter-patter” of the rain outside. There’s nothing more refreshing. You snuggle your day out, lying about the house enjoying a steaming cup of cocoa. The rain brings with it refreshment to the world and much so to me. It starts with a gloom that manages to bring forward thoughts of happiness. It seems my brain is wired into thinking about the way I feel during weather. I am happy and content to see the thick clouds roll in, knowig they bring with them, sweet drops of life.
The water trickling down your face, soaking your hair to your head and allowiing it to just run over you. There cannot possibly be a more relishing a moment than this. Your senses feel more life than they have ever experienced before. Taking in your surroundings allows a sense of greater knowledge. You see the streams as they start to move buliding up across the worn ground, and yet nature seems still. The birds have gone away from the storm and quietly await it passing. All insects seemed to have found a dry place of shelter into which they have nestled, cosily awaiting a time where they can continue their rhythmic pulse of music.
It is through this that you can feel at whole and truly contemplate your surroundings. The rain may sometimes briong with it destruction, and sometimes may pass before you yet have chance to experience it, but there will be days where the rain is a time to enjoy. The act of just standing in a downpour leaves you more lively than before.
And as all mirth lasts but for few, the rain is gone, leaving with it but one reminder. Out stretched across the sky lies the remains of rains arrival. A rainbow lies there strung out before your sight, allowing you to think of little more beautiful.
