[RuneScape] Herb Cleaning

Cleaning herbs is the most simple form of Herblore. It may sound like a silly activity to do to make money, but once you master it, you can be making more than 500k an hour, depending on prices. The trick to cleaning herbs is to use MouseKeys. MouseKeys can reduce strain on your fingers and increases the speed at which you can clean herbs.

Once you have set up MouseKeys using the guide linked above, it is time to find out what herb you will clean. To find a herb to clean, buy one grimy herb instantly in the Grand exchange (i.e at a price which you do not have to wait to get the herb). Record the amount that it cost you to get the herb. Clean the herb by clicking on it in your inventory. Sell the clean herb instantly in the Grand exchange and record the price. If the selling price is above the grimy price, then you’ve got a herb that will make you profit.

Buy up to 10,000 of a herb at the recorded price which will net you profit, but I recommend only buying an amount which you are comfortable with incase prices change whilst cleaning them. I would buy and clean 1,000 at a time.

Clean your herbs using MouseKeys

• Numpad 5 to click (I personally use Numpad + as it clicks twice, reducing the chance of missing a herb)
• Numpad 2 to go down (Hold shift and fiddle with MouseKey speeds to make sure it goes down only one inventory space)
• Numpad 6 to go right (Hold shift and use this after cleaning down one column of your inventory)
• Numpad 8 to go up (Hold shift and use this this after cleaning down one column and going right)

Sell your herbs at your recorded price.

Tips: If you’re patient, try buying and selling at non-instant prices to get more profit! Use a low ping world to minimise lag!
