By buying one of these simple, yet effective gifts, your bound to please any gardener you know for christmas. If you want to go big, I don’t think any gardener would say no to a nice new tool shed or greenhouse! But to be realistic most of us cannot afford such a luxery to buy for ourseleves, unless otherwise budgeted for, little alone give as a gift!

A gardener is easy to buy for as long as you are a gardener, but to be realistic for those of you who are not, who are already stressed out by the burden of not knowing what to buy, like so many of us are, I have made a list of some simple, yet effective gifts ideas that will be sure to delight any gardener who receives them.
If your going big an hour long consultation with a designer is certainly one way to please, however; both a cheap and effective way is by giving more personalized and meaningful items such as, bulbs, tools, gardening magazines or books.
A years subscription to a good gardening magazine not only pleases a gardener by keeping them entertained on those not so nice of days but it keeps giving all year round.
Plant reference books are really nice to give, they tend to keep gardeners inspired throughout the year.
Tools can be great to receive but a word of advice before buying, please find out what he or she has packed away in their garden shed before hand because you will want to buy a gardener something they do not have or something better then what they already have to make their lives easier in the garden.
Bulbs will not die as a gift wrapped item like plants do and they can be planted in containers during the season that is the gardeners most dreaded time of year.
The last gift I would like to recommend is a gift certificate to a local nursery. A gift certificate can cover all the things that a gardener could require and there is nothing better when come the spring after a gardener has finished their want list of new plants and tools that they are able to go to a nursery and obtain these items for free! Also a gardener can choose what he or she wants and sometimes this is a better way because for one, the gardener knows what they want and two, you cannot purchase plants for a garden in the winter, unless of course in a really warm climate. Also for new homeowners that want to add their own look to their garden, a gift certificate to the local nursery makes for a really nice house warming gift!
To wrap this up article up with a pretty bow and tag, I would like to say good luck and I hope you have found this article useful in your search for ideas in finding a good gardening gift.
