Extraordinary flowering plants with variety of colors and shapes.
Narcissus or otherwise known as Daffodils on its English name is a flowering bulb that brighten your garden. Daffodils are early bloomers. Their beauty show up at late winter and last until mid summer. They love cold weather. Daffodils are very dominant in yellow and white color or a combination of both colors. They have a trumpet-shaped like flower. Alkaloid poison known as lycorine is contained in all variety of daffodils but its root was used to treat wounds.

Tulip flower has originated from Persia including its name. It has the most variety of all the bulbs. Tulip ranges up to 270 different color. They are grown in Southern Europe, North Africa, Asia as well as Iran. They could be potted plants or fresh cut flowers. Their cup-shaped like flower has three petals and three sepals. They are in bloom from early spring to early summer. Holland is known to be the main producer and exporter of Tulips throughout the world. Tulips are known as the currency bulb for its high income value.

Crocus is the smallest flowering bulb. Unlike the other bulb they are in bloom in the beginning of spring. Crocus are widely grown; from Central Asia, Europe, Middle East as well as North Africa. Their flower formed a cup-shaped like. White is the most dominant flower color but they also come in lilac, mauve and yellow(egg yolk yellow).

Hyacinth is another gorgeous flowering bulb. They are mostly grown in temperate places like the other bulb. Hyacinth is commonly grown in the Mediterranean and in Southwest Asia. For some reason hyacinth is quite related to rebirth. Their scent last until the flower wilts. They range various colors too, red, blue, white, orange, pink, violet, or yellow. For long lasting flower place them on, in an indirect sunlight.

The most common lily grows from bulb. Mostly grown all over Europe and in the north Mediterranean, in some part of Asia, Canada and the United States of America. They have of much important to the world’s culture and literature. The flower composed of six petals and with a lasting fragrant. Lily has range of colors whites, yellows, oranges, pinks, reds and purples, and each color has it own unique markings like spots, brush strokes and picotees. I would say that it is an ‘all year’ round flower since I always see them in the market all year.

These are beautiful pictures. All of the flowers here are most popular here in America’s South East states. It would not be spring without them.(particularly the tulips).
I had no idea that the Daffodils thrive in the cooler months. They are here from spring to summer-then die out quickly.
Thanks for sharing such great information!

We used to have Daffodils in our side yard. They came up every year for the 13+ years we lived there, and were beautiful under the flowering apple trees.
This is a good article and awesome photos.
