Mushroom Cultivation
Oyster mushroom cultivation to consumption.
Preparation of Oyster Mushroom Cultivation
Building / Room Oyster Mushroom Cultivation
Basically the building can take advantage of existing space home, usually a building for the cultivation of oyster mushroom mushroom building consists of several rooms, including:
A. space preparation
Preparation room is the room that serves to engage the sifting, mixing, , and sterilization.
2. Inoculation of space
Inoculation room is the room that serves to plant the seeds in the planting medium, this space should be easy to clean, not much ventilation to avoid contamination (presence of other microbes).
3. Incubation space
This room has a function to grow mushroom growing on media that has been in inoculation (Spawning). Condition of the room is set at a temperature of 22-28 degrees C with humidity of 60% – 80%, room is furnished with bamboo shelves to put the growing media in plastic bags are already in inoculation.
Planting 4.
Space planting (growing) is used to grow the mushroom fruit body. This room is also equipped with shelves and planting atomizer functions to flush and adjust the air temperature at the optimal conditions 16-22 degrees C with a humidity of 80-90%.
A. Preparation of Materials
Materials to be prepared such as sawdust, rice bran, limestone, gypsum, cornmeal, and glucose.
2. Sieving
Sawdust obtained from sawmills have a poor level of uniformity, this resulting growth was uneven and not good. Overcome this it is necessary in the sifted sawdust. Size sieve to sift the sand together with (ram chicken), sieving should use a mask because in a lot of sawdust mixed with dust and sand
3. Mixing
Materials that have been weighed in accordance with the needs of sawdust mixed with water then sprayed with approximately 50-60%, or if we lump the powder to agglomerate but not out of the water. This indicates the water content is sufficient.
4. Composting
Composting is the process of weathering of the material carried by a mixture of sawdust then cover it with plastic
5. Packaging
Wrapping using plastic polypropylene (PP) to the required size. Wrapping is to insert the media into the plastic and then knocked / pounded into a solid with a bottle or using a filler (compactor) and then stored.
6. Sterilization
Sterilization is performed by using a tool that aims sterilizer microbes, bacteria, fungi, and yeasts that can interfere with the growth of cultivated mushrooms. Sterilization is performed at a temperature of 90-100 degrees C for 12 hours.
7. Inoculation (Provision of Seeds)
Inoculation is the activity of mushroom seeds enter into the mold that has been sterilized media drained during the first night after the sterilization, then we take the seeds and planted thereon by means tablespoon / scoop the seeds of about + 3 tablespoons and then fastened with rubber and covered with cotton. Oyster mushrooms are good seeds are:
- Superior varieties
- Age optimal seed 45-60 days
- The color of the seeds evenly
- Not contaminated
8. Incubation period Oyster Mushrooms
Oyster Mushroom incubation is done by storing at room incubation with certain conditions. Incubation was carried out until evenly distributed throughout the white media, the media will appear white usually evenly between 40-60 days.
9. Oyster Mushroom Harvest
Harvesting is done after the growth of the fungus reaches its optimal level, harvesting is usually performed 5 days after the candidate to grow mushrooms. Harvesting should be done in the morning to preserve freshness and facilitate the marketing
