Many agricultural countries have done composting already and in fact they have reaped positive outputs that have benefited them financially and environmentally. The current trend is to make and create organic products—organic fruits and vegetables are in fact, observed to have more vitamins and minerals than those express foods and foods that are synthetically-made in laboratories. To make them more organic, we have to use organic fertilizers and avoid using herbicides and pesticides. Making a compost at home can create an organically-made fertilizer made from biodegradable twigs, leaves, fruit peelings and rotten fruits and vegetables.

The process is simple. First, simply segregate your garbage at home as to whether they are biodegradable or non-biodegradable materials.  For non-biodegradable materials, you can also use them as pots for your rose plant or your vegetables. After segregating them, you must clean your garden’s area in such a way that they will be free from stones, grasses and other debris. Dig a hole wherein you will place all your biodegradable materials ready for the compost. Some people use lime to make the rotting process faster. The organic fertilizer from your compost will only be available after a few months of treating it with natural moisture from the natural environment and the added lime.

After a few months, you can now use the organic fertilizer produced from your man-made compost. It is assumed that in making a compost, you are also segregating your garbage properly, and when you do, you are helping in proper waste disposal and thus saving our environment from destruction. The derived organic fertilizer also save your budget and energy in buying an expensive inorganic fertilizer in the market.
