How to Grow Orange Trees From Pips

In this article I will be telling you how to grow a fruit bearing orange tree from pips. I hope this helps and please like.

To grow orange trees you will obviously need a few orange seeds. If you didn’t already know, these are the pips inside the orange. A decent orange will normally bare 3-5 seeds. You will need to put all the seeds into a small bowl of water overnight.

In the morning you will need to peel the skin off the pips. Be careful as they will be very slippy. You will know that the pips are ready if they sink to the bottom or are coated in a gooey substance.

When you have done this, get some kitchen roll and run it under the tap. Ring all the water out so the tissue is damp. Then fold it 3 times and put the pips on. When you have done this fold it once more.

After this put your paper towel into a ziplock bag or glad bag. Then put your bag on a windowsill. In about 2 weeks you will see the seeds going green and growing a root. When the root gets about an inch long, take it out very carefully as they are fragile. Then place it in a party cup of compost, with the roots faceing down.

Keep replaceing the pots as the plant gets bigger. Please leave a comment if you need any help. Thanks for reading and please like.
