Drink Your Coffee and Keep Your Garden Nice

Wouldn’t it be great to be able to sit and drink coffee and keep your garden looking good at the same time?

Here’s how to do it:

Sorry to spoil your appetite for the coffee but do you recall those slimy creatures that eat your plants and leave white trails all over the patios? Yes, I mean slugs. Slugs don’t like to drink coffee.

Save the coffee grounds from your machine and let them dry. Sprinkle this around your plants, especially the ones that slugs seem to prefer, like delphiniums and hostas. Apparently slugs react badly to caffeine. It shrinks up their bodies and kills them off, so they will stay away from your plants, while you brew up again.
