The Pervert Stalking Your Child

It might just be their teacher, principal, or school board member.

Mr. and Mrs. Robbins found out someone was watching their child while he was in his bedroom in their home at night.  Not only was this someone watching their son, but photographing him too.

That’s enough to make any parent start loading their shotgun.

How did they catch this person who was stalking their son and photographing him without his knowledge?  Their son was called into the Principal’s office at school one day, and disciplined for “improper behavior at home”.

How did they know he was misbehaving at home?  The Vice Principal showed him the photograph taken of him “behaving improperly”.

Lower Merion School District in Philadelphia, PA, routinely issued laptops to students for use with their course work.  These laptops also contained a web-cam.

After first denying the accusations, school administrators have admitted that they had covert software packages installed on the laptops that would allow remote control activation of the web-cams in the laptops, but they had not used it.  The they admitted they had used it, but only to locate stolen laptops.  School administrators would go thru students click-streams and web-mail, but also activate the cameras to spy on them and their families without their knowledge.

By the way, the “improper behavior” the boy was photographed and disciplined over – eating Mike N’ Ikes candies, whoever was watching thought they were drugs.

Class Action Lawsuit

The Robbins have filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of their family and all the other students in the district.  And I must say this is not all that needs to be done.

Who thought this was a good idea?

Do you realize these are the people you’ve hired to train your children?

As in so many sectors of our society today, anyone who has any kind of government backing think they can do whatever they feel like doing, with impunity, the law be damned.

This has to stop. Let me tell you what needs to be done.

Terminations and Criminal Penalties

The message needs to be sent that this wasn’t just wrong, it was criminal.

  • Firstly, anyone involved in anyway needs to lose their jobs.  From the School Board members who knew about it, to the buyer who ordered the software, to the tech who installed.  The excuse “I was just following orders” didn’t work at Nuremberg, people need to be reminded of that.
  • Secondly, those directly involved, the decision makers, need to be criminally charged with stalking, invasion of privacy, and child pornography.
  • Those directly involved, the decision makers, and anyone who had access to the feeds from these cameras needs to spend serious time in prison, and be registered sex offenders.  Remember, intent is not at issue when determining why someone might have a photograph of a child.

Do you think I’m being too harsh?

Do you close your laptop whenever you’re not using it?  You ever use it while not fully dressed?  You ever leave it open while you walk into or out of the shower?  Walk naked or semi-naked around your bedroom?

My guess is your child does too.  And remember we’re talking teen and pre-teen here.  This is a pedophiles wet-dream come true.

These people think they know best when it comes to your children.  They think they know best what to teach them, what attitudes and ideas they should hold to be true.

And they obviously believe themselves to be above the law.

I recommend that everyone personally contact your School Board to make sure this isn’t going on in your district, and contact your local representatives and politicians to see about making these – crimes – stand out in sharp relief by enacting legislation forbidding the use of such software by schools.

Demand to know why those involved have not been arrested.  This is not just a civil matter, but a criminal one.

Big Brother is watching you.  He is watching you without your knowledge and consent.  And it is only when some government representative gets caught with his pants down (figuratively speaking) that you find out about it.  And trust me, they’ve already watched your child in some state of undress, perhaps you too.

Implications

The implications are both obvious and sinister.

If this school is doing it, others certainly are as well.

If schools are doing it, so are your employers with those company issued laptops they send home with you.

Protect yourself.  You have no privacy left, and no one else cares.

  1. Wow! Eye-opening information!

  2. Hi again, Stephen, I bookmarked this.

  3. Wow Stephen,

Thanks for the information, this is warped. Makes you wonder if ANYBODY, ANYWHERE is safe from having our privacy invaded. The home is the sanctuary (or at least it SHOULD be) and people spying on kids need to have themselves examined, I think there are laws in some states against voyuerism (sp?) which is one thing these people are guilty of.

    “1984″ anyone? more like “1984-crimewave”

  4. This is scary!

  5. This is frightening.. Great information.
