Summer Portraits

While most of your family is home, make the most of the summer with permanent memories.
Summer is a great time to get the family together for a portrait. Why wait until the fall when most of the kids are getting ready for the school year or leaving for college? Summertime can offer wonderful timing for your photography session. The days are longer which allows your photographer to book later sunset sessions when the weather is cool and clear. Unlike spring where you have to be concerned with rainy weather or unseasonably cold days, summer has many perks, especially for wardrobe choices. A skilled and experience photographer can suggest locations and the right type of clothing to prepare. If you live near the water, it’s wonderful to create a sitting in a beautiful natural setting. The local park is also a great option where there are plenty of summer flowers in bloom and you can even include your family pet.

Your summer portrait can be a wonderful gift to family members. If you have a rising high school senior in your family, you can inquire with your photographer if you can bundle a family session along with a senior portrait shoot. This can save you much time and money. Some people chose to document their family by scheduling yearly portraits during the summer. This can be an elegant way to remember the changes that occur in your family and how precious the time you have together truly is.
