Spending Time Less or Maximise Your Time with Your Children
Make the time child -centred.
Many families in a two -parent families, both adults work full time and it means that time
available to spend with the children is at premium.
In many one-parent families, the single parent works fulltime , leaving little time for contact with children.
The problem confronting any parent then, is that your three year old needs your time more than ever before at this stage in her life. She or He wants your company , seeks attention and has many questions to ask plus many games to play with you.
Parents are guilty at times and worry that this lack of time together could weaken their emotional bond with the child.
If less spent time with children make it worthwhile or maximise it by spending time wisely.
It is the quality and not the quantity.
While life can be much easier for parents who are not working because they have endless hours to devote
to their child, the actual amount of time spent with the child is not what matter counts. it is the quality of time
spent together which matters.
Bear in mind there are parents who are with the child everyday and yet the stimulation they provide is not
satisfactory. Long hours with your child does not guarantee that you will have a good bond with her or him.
If you are effective in the way you use the time , you can still provide a caring, supporting environment in which she will thrive and bond with you.
You can make a specific time and plan to set aside each day to spend with your child. This might be five minutes or an hour a day. However it must make sure it is the same time everyday of your working week.Stick to it as best as you can.
Shopping and housework can wait , they can be done when your child is asleep and spending time with your little ones is most important. Devote to her. Play games with her, chat with her, sings songs with her or watch tv shows together.
Planning on weekend with your child allows to use the longer leisure period over the weekend.
It includes going to the park together, to the cinema , to local fastfood restaurant, to new outdoor playing activities, swim or visit to the zoo.
When children anticipate their weekends on this planning activity , they will be more active and eager to wait
the time they could enjoy the event.
