Seven Kinds of Father (Part 2)

The Distant Father.The distant father comes from many varieties. Some distant father are dads who traveled frequently, work long hours, were preoccupied with pressing problems, or were separated from their kids through divorce. Other fathers were emotionally distant and never develop deep bonds with their children. Both physical and emotional distance leave an indelible mark on a child. Most often a child experiences the absence of the father as a rejection. He reasons that he or she  is not worth his dad’s time and attention. Children who grow up in a home with a distant father often have trouble bonding deeply with others or establishing lasting relationships.
