Parents Guilty of Murdering Six of Their Children?
Mick and Mairead Philpott appeared beside themselves with grief at a press conference following the tragic deaths of their six children in a house fire. The couple have now been charged with murdering their children. Are we to think the worst or is this some kind of terrible mistake?
There are just some stories which are too tragic to be believed.
Two weeks ago a story hit the headlines of six children losing their lives in a fire at their family home in Derby.
Their father was praised for his courage in valiantly trying to save the children, who were aged between five and 13, but to no avail.
The house was completely gutted by the fire and the next day the distraught parents Mick and Mairead Philpott appeared at a press conference in tears.
The police quickly established the fire had been intentionally started in the early hours of the morning by petrol being poured through the letter box.
The six children were asleep in bed at the time.
The couple were taken in for questioning by the police, but this can often be standard practise to eliminate as many people as possible.
However, the couple have now been charged with the murder of their six children.
Either way this is a tragic story. The lives of six young children have been lost in the most horrendous and brutal of ways.
But it looks like if we believe what we are being told here, the parents are the ones behind this murder.
Obviously the trial has still not played out in court and who knows what may be revealed about the circumstances which led to this fire occurring.
It is just hard to understand why the parents would have set their own home alight knowing their children were inside.
Did they think they could get the children out in time, but then why take that risk? I don’t understand. The most sinister option, that they wanted these children to perish in the blaze, is too awful to consider for very long.
I guess we will have to watch this space…

You know I have been following this story over here in Canada and it must be one of the most tragic incidents I have seen or heard about in many years. I could not comprehend ever doing anything like this and I hope something comes out in the trial that will prove that these two poor souls were not to blame.
Great Article

I haven’t read about that incident yet. There is a really horrible one here in the US about a man on drugs eating half of the face of a homeless man alive just this week. I have two kids and I know it’s tough, but setting them on fire is not an options. I would like to know more keep us informed. I will watch for your articles.
