If Mother Won’t, Grandma Will
by mishee on Sep 27, 2009 with 17 Comments
For all grandparents out there.
I got inspired by this line printed on a pink shirt, “if mother won’t grandma will!” I laughed at the idea, thinking of the certain connection grandparents and grandchildren have.
What powers do children have over their grandparents?
- No matter how angry grandparents are, at an instant of seeing them, they become soft.
- One simple kiss will make everything back to normal.
- A hug will take every stress, like it is an energy pack.
- Their presence takes away their sadness.
- When they come running toward them, tidy or not, grandma and grandpa will come running toward them too like magnet.
There are loads of reasons, but only grandparents know exactly.

You were fortunate your grands don’t welcome you with a pinched on the ears. As for me I had every exercise in pain during my days, child abuse isn’t really a big issue decades past.

Very interesting. I only wish I have experienced this. But our children do experience it now with our parents.

If you’re lucky enough to still have Grandparents, cherish every moment with them. Before you know it, they’re no longer there, and it can leave a huge chasm in your life! Nice article.

My Grandma had so much wisdom to pass on, I wish I’d understood that when I was younger.
