“How Safe and Healthy is The Home Environment of Michael Jackson’s Children”
A review and discussion on the home environment for the children of the late Michael Jackson.
According to an April 28, 2010 report made by the KTLA News, Katherine Jackson is evicting some of her own grandchildren. The article: “Michael Jackson’s Mom Evicts grandchildren”, is said to be the result of the stun gun incident that occurred in her home. According to a family spokesperson, Katherine Jackson has asked Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza, who is the mother of Jaafar, Jermajesty (Jermaine’s children) and Donte and Randy Jr. (Randy’s children) to leave her estate. Arrangements have been made for them to live in a separate condo near them. “However Michael Jackson’s children, Prince, Paris and Blanket will remain with Katherine Jackson.” Sources report that this request was made by the Department of Children and Family Services after the incident of the stun gun. There are many stories told in the media sources, about how Michael Jackson provided a safe and nurturing home environment for his children. Media sources also report on how Michael Jackson’s children lived a very sheltered and segregated life from the public and to an extent, from family. Now suddenly, Michael Jackson’s children are thrust into a very public environment consisting of their many cousins and some of their mothers. Considering the fact of Michael Jackson’s safe, segregated but nurturing home environment was what they had grown accustomed to, now have been reversed into that of living in a crowded home with their cousins who play with stun guns! Reports show that as many as 14 siblings live in the same mansion. (This does not include the allege son of Michael Jackson, Bhatti, nor the ‘babysitter’ who live there also.)
Imagine how Michael Jackson’s children were affected by such drastic change! Have they acclimated to their new environment? How are they (or are they) bonding with their cousins? Having a stun gun used as a (possible) toy isn’t quite a welcoming gesture! According to media sources, the children learned a great deal about the experience of growing up from the public and their family, and about people who are different from themselves. Given the protectiveness of their father, the late Michael Jackson, and by living separate from others, that possibly they never heard of nor seen things such as stun guns. Is this the first time they have experienced any real interaction with others since the death of their father?
The subject of (self) segregation, different viewpoints, coexistence and the complexity of different lifestyles can be widely considered or viewed as also something that everyone shares. Although we are separated by them, we also seem to stay or be connected by them.
