We have been hearing since childhood “The mother’s lap is the first school of children”. This proverb can only be understood, when any girl seeks the rank of mother.
Nobody can deny the fact that the home environment puts long lasting effects on children. An exemplary and peaceful home affects positively on children’s mind. A Sensible mother makes every possible effort for making her children brilliant in studies as well as good citizens. In order to attain this purpose she works day and night for making her home a peaceful and pleasurable place. Teach your children manner and ethics. Pay little heed to our suggestions also in this regard.
At the outset, make your children habit for greeting each other (saying Salams or Good Morning etc). If there are elders in the house, make their habit of asking about their welfare and wielding their short of big works. It is said that elders are the source of blessings. If parents themselves honor their elders and take care of them, children will surely follow on their footprints.
Setting up of children’s studying hours is also equally important. Make their habit of going to bed early and rising early and reciting the Holy Books (The Holy Quran, The Bible Etc). Further revising the homework in the early morning is a must. According the Shaksay, the lesson learnt in the morning easily becomes the part of a mind. Studying till late night not only disturbs sleep but also makes a child peevish.
The importance of sports is universal. It plays important role in the growth of children. If the home environment is peaceful and friendly, the children will automatically share their problems and difficulties with parents. Otherwise, children will try to escape from their home. Parents should be aware of the timings and the types of friends their child is involved in. The importance of father is undeniable at its place. It is a responsibility of a mother that she should teach children dealing their father with love and respects.
It has been observed that normally fathers imply unreasonable strictness over children, which yields distance between father and children and only a sensible mother, can reduce this distance using her wisdom.
Parents should abstain from quarreling as much as possible especially in front of children, because the bad memories of the childhood put negative impact on the minds of children, whereas pleasurable memories remains safe in their minds for ever.
Normally, parents waste their whole leave days in sleeping. And therefore, children do not have recognition about the importance of time. On the leave day you can complete all the week’s incomplete works accompanying with children.
Religious education is also important along with worldly education. Tell about Prophets and God to children at least once in a week.
The book reading habit that is vanishing these days, make your children habitual of it so that their knowledge can be increased. Cultivate habit of love and tolerance in children, since this is the beauty of life.
The best education and training given to children by their parents is the guarantee of their children’s bright future.
