Having a Baby Doesnt Make You a Mom. Raising a Child, Now That is What Makes You a MOM!
Every woman can be a mother
It takes someone special to be a mommy.
Not every woman should be a mother….Not every mother is a mom…
There are many terms of endearment for a mother
Mom, Mommie, Nana, Ma and many others.
I see many posts, comments, articles and more about men stepping up and being a dad, of course you would think more would. That said, blaming men as the cause of children going wayward seems out of whack.
If they aren’t’ involved and out of the life and the mom is there, why are so many kids still getting pregnant at 14, joining gangs, drinking and doing drugs, dropping out of school, becoming homeless and so much more?
If the mom is doing what she has to do as a mom, why are the kids still falling victim to society? You can’t blame the schools, government, fathers, your past or being tired as the reason for your child having no one at home to go to. Not if you are the only adult there.
I always talk about owning yours. It also includes your role as a mother. The most important role in the world, when you decided to have a child.
Mothers, please stop telling your sons or daughters how sorry their father is (even if it’s true), never tell your child “you’re just like your father”, unless it’s for a positive reason. Remember, what you tell a child about his parent can and will have either a negative or positive impact.
As his mother, you are more likely to be his first teacher, teach your son how to love and respect a lady, teach him how a real lady carries herself, and how a real lady behaves.
Boys grow up and look for a woman and if the only example he has seen in the home is a whiner, a complainer, someone who dosen’t care how she looks, how her home looks, always finding fault with their dad, remember your son might marry a woman just like his mom. look at yourself, would you want that or not?
Girls will grow up and behave just like the mother and all you did was find fault with a man and complain, have hate, low self-worth and negativity that is what you taught her.
If they see different men in and out of your house all the time that is what you are teaching them is right. Be better than that.
