Happy Mother’s Day

A special tribute to all the mothers.
I would like to take this time to wish all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day. Although there is never enough that can be said or done that can really compensate the love of a mother. When I think of a mother, I think of a woman of strength, never ending love, endurance, compassion, faith, and stability. It takes a very special woman to be a mother, especially to the women who have to raise their children alone.
Before I can appreciate any mother, there are three mothers that are dear to my heart:
First of all, I have to appreciate that woman that gave birth to me, Denise Tate. She had me at the tender age of 15, and I’m appreciative because even at a young age, she took good care of me. She raised me in a loving home, and I never lacked for anything. She provided for me, loved me, spoiled me, and also disciplined me. Even in the midst of difficulties, she never took her frustration out on me. I’ve seen her go out of her way to make sure that I had everything that I needed, and some of the things that I wanted, and for this mom I say, “Thank You.”
Second of all, I would like to appreciate my mother in law, Betty McAlister. This is the woman that gave birth to my wife. In the time that I have known her, she has been an inspiration to me. Through her example, she has shown what it is to be a good mother. I’ve seen a lot of her attributes in my wife. She is a woman that loves her children, and will do whatever it takes to see about their well being. She is a compassionate woman that is full of wisdom, and for this mom I say, “Thank You.”
Last but not least, I have to appreciate the mother of my children, Michelle Tate. Together we have two daughters, Chanice (19), and Chante (14). She is a loving, nurturing, and virtuous woman. She is a woman that sacrifices her own well being to ensure that her children are well taken care of . She is a woman of great strength and compassion. There is no challenge that she is not willing to take to make certain that her children have the best that she can give. She is a woman that desires to see that her children become the best that they can be and reach their greatest potential in life. She is a woman of wisdom who educates her daughters how to carry themselves as young women.
As a father, I’m proud to have this woman as the mother of my children. Many nights I have seen and heard her weep for her children when things were not going good, and no matter how bad things got, she never has given up on her children. Her love remains constant through the good and rough times. Baby, I just want you to know that I love you, and you are a good mother.
To all the mothers of the world, I celebrate you on this day for your never ending love and sacrifice that you go through from day to day taking care of your children.
