Eight Strange Celebrity Baby Names

Celebrities give their babies strange names. Find out eight strange celebrity baby names in this article.

With the arrival of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s baby girl, I decided to write another addition of strange celebrity baby names.  I have seen some outrageous celebrity baby names that I wanted to share with you all.  Here are eight strange celebrity baby names.

Beyonce and Jay-Z
Beyonce and Jay-Z named their daughter Blue Ivy.  Ivy isn’t a strange name, but why in the world would they name their daughter Blue?  I know “blue” has meaning to Jay-Z, but that is a strange name for a baby.  I read reports that they were going to name her Tiana.  Tiana would have been a better name than Blue.

Drea de Matteo and Shooter Jennings
Actress Drea de Matteo and Shooter Jennings have a daughter named Alabama Gypsy Rose.  I don’t know where she came up with that name.  Rose isn’t bad, but why would she name her Alabama Gypsy?  Is Alabama her favorite state?

The Edge and Aislinn O’Sullivan
The Edge and Aislinn O’Sullivan have a baby named Blue Angel.  There must be something about the name Blue that stands out.  They could have named the baby Angel instead of Blue Angel.

Anthony Kiedis and Heather Christie
Anthony Kiedis and Heather Christie named their baby Everly Bear.  There is nothing normal about either name.  What kind of a name is Everly Bear for a child?  Everly Bear sounds like a name for a stuffed animal.

John Mellencamp and Elaine Irwin
John Mellencamp and Elaine Irwin named their children Hud and Spec Wildhorse.  I can’t believe that they would do this to their children.  Both of these names are strange.  Hud is bad, but Spec Wildhorse is even worse.

M.I.A. and  Benjamin Brewer
M.I.A. and Benjamin Brewer named their child Ikhyd.  I don’t even know how to pronounce this name.  I feel sorry for the kid.  Their child’s teachers are going to have a field day with this name.

Tommy Lee Jones
Tommy Lee Jones has a child named Kafka.  I can only imagine where he and the child’s mother came up with this name.

These are all of the eight strange celebrity baby names.  I can only imagine what these kids are going to go through when they are older.  I hope the parents teach their kids how to fight because they are going to need lessons growing up with these strange baby names.  The kids are going to be merciless.  What do you think of these strange celebrity baby names?  Which strange ones have you heard?

  1. I guess celebs can get away with this kind of nonsense because of who they are. My daughter once told me that a woman she knew had twin sons, she named then Orangejello and Lemonjello (pronounced or-AHNGE-juh-lo and le-MON-juh-lo). Now that’s just stupid!

  2. Some parents don’t think about how the name will sound a few years down the road.

  3. very interesting, I too wonder why they have those names in their mind, maybe there were some stories behind.

  4. I like the name Kafka. Actually everybody should give a good name for their baby since it’s like a prayer.

  5. I hope those children can change their names in the future if they want to. Having a bad name can invite people making fun of it, not a nice thing to happen.

  6. They really want to have unique baby names.

  7. I like Tommy Lee Jones..

  8. Poor kids!!

  9. I feel for the children and if I had been given a name like that I would have changed it as soon as I was able to.

  10. Those names are so strange and I would change them too. :-)

  11. Parents should think long and hard before naming a child. Every child should have a sound dignified name.

  12. You’re right. All these names are very strange. Ikhyd is plain weird, Blue Ivy is weird too as well as spec wildhorse. I’ve never heard any of these names before. poor kids.

  13. they are also weird parents lol

  14. Famous people loose their minds very early, it seems. How about Dweezil and Moon Unit Zappa? LOL!

  15. appalling

  16. Everly Bear?! Nice post CAJ
