Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures (Like Letting a Sexy, Shirtless Man Paint Your Toes)

Have you ever had one of those days where you think “OH MY GOD – I AM ABSOLUTELY GONNA JUST LOSE IT TODAY!”??

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had quite a few…

In fact, this day in particular had been exceptionally long and frustrating; the Munchkins had spent the afternoon whining, complaining, fighting, tattling, crying, and doing all of the things that young siblings sometimes do to drive their dear mother absolutely crazy.  After 8 hours of playing police officer, mediator, negotiator, nurse, and activities director to three children under the age of 11, I realized that I was wound up, TIGHT, and I just had to chill out if I wanted to keep my sanity.

As we all know, sometimes life with kids can be challenging.  Although we are amazing, wonderful, beautiful, sexy, smart supermoms, things can and do, at times,  just get to be too much.  And, as they say, desperate times call for desperate measures…

Now, after reading some of my other blog posts, there should be no question in your mind what yours truly does in trying times such as these;  after putting the kids to bed for the night, I applied my favorite red lip gloss and painted my nails (what can I say, that always makes me feel better!) I was finishing up my hands and about to go on to my toes when in walks Tattoo Guy, stage right, in all his sexy, shirtless glory.  Realizing that I was stressed to the max (obviously because of the lip gloss and nail polish), he came over and began gently massaging my shoulders.

Giving me a gentle kiss on the cheek, he whispered in my ear, “Would you like me to do that for you?”

“Do what?”, I asked

“Paint your toes?” he said

“No that’s ok, you don’t have to…”

“Oh, but I WANT to” he said, in his deep, breathy Tattoo Guy voice. “You’ve had a busy day, and I want to help you relax.”
