“Daddy, Daddy, I’m Not Cool”: Five Ways to Keep You Away From That Statement

Ever had one of those times where your kids come up to you and they say that the other kids at school don’t think they are cool enough to hang out with them? But they don’t tell you why. Learn the secrets of making your children happy at school.

I am going to categorize this into a few things that don’t make your kids “cool”.

  1. When your kid is not allowed to do things that aren’t that dangerous because you say no to them. Think about it, just by saying no to something not that dangerous makes a big difference. Now all the other kids think he is so scared and don’t want to hang around with him.
  2. When you dress him/her up like a geek or “nerd”. Kids now think he is a goody two shoes and loves learning and school. In the kids world, He is called a nerd. Hair style is also very important. If he has a 1970’s hairstyle i dont think the 21st generation kids would think it looks cool. They would insult him even more. You should give the boys, a bit of a spiky hair style and put gel. He would be called cool in that way.
  3. When your kid is invited for a Party and comes in a tucked in long sleeve shirt and formal trousers. No, no, no, no, what do you think your doing? He is surely going to get embarrassed and insulted for wearing such clothes to a party. Maybe to a wedding, but not to a kids party. I would recommend baggy trousers, 3/4s, or shorts. He should never be wearing any type of shirt, unless it has cool things on it and he likes it.
  4. When you argue or make him cry in front of his friends. This is a big mistake! This is the last thing you would want to do. Kids love to backbite and embarrass other kids, especially if they are smart in class. The kids do this to lose his friends honor and respect, especially if your child is more honored and respected.
  5. Dont dress nerdy when you pick them up, dress cool! I know this might be a bit harder than the other tips but, it is a big embarrassment went your dad comes to school in long sleeve shirts and a formal trouser and in a toyota. The better and bigger the car is the more your child is “cool”.

  1. I used to make my mom drop me off two blocks away from school. I didn’t want anyone to see her. It was 1991 and she was dressing like it was 1982! I was horrified!
