Child Abuse

So I am sitting in my bed and I am flipping the channels I come across the TV show Nancy Grace and I say to myself let see what she talking about to day. Once I got to that channel I could not believe what she was talking about, a woman dragging her child on a leash through a Verizon store. The women named Melissa at age 37 was video tape by someone using there cell phone dragging her child through the Verizon store in Alabama.

I was in shock how can a woman drag her own child through a store, I have two kids of my own and this is something I would never do even if they where acting up. I’ll confess, I’ve pulled my daughter by the hand out of a store during a temper tantrum, but dragging her across the floor seems like an inappropriate form of discipline. I know they have those leashes for kids in the shape of a stuff animal and that there to be use to keep your child where you can see them, but this is just something you don’t do. The police later arrested this woman for child abuse; all I want to know is why you would do something like that. What this woman did is a crime and in know way is it any form of discipline, what happen to the old fashion hand spanking. It was kind of like this woman did not care that all these people in the store where looking at her like she had lost her mind. Do you think this is an ok form of discipline?
