Habits have a tremendous influence on the quality of your life. World class athletes all have strong positive habits of practicing their sport daily. They train very intensely on a consistent basis. The same principle applies to top performers in the world of business and art. Do you remember the best students in your class? I bet they had strong positive habits. The billionaire Warren Buffet said: “Chains of habits are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.” Make sure you adopt strong positive habits early in your life.
How Do You Change Your Habits?
Studies have shown that it takes approximately 3 weeks or 21 days to create new habits. Since I prefer being on the safe side, I usually say it takes 30 days to form a new habit. After 30 days of doing the same activity daily, it will become second nature for you. But don’t stop after 30 days! You need to continue for as long as necessary. For some people, it might take 90 days to form a new habit. Other people might be able to form them in only 2 weeks.
