Adoption of The Small Family Norm
This happens largely because of ignorance, illiteracy, poverty and superstition beliefs like children are a good –given gift in which man has no role.
The problem of growing population can only be solved with the active cooperation of the society. Government can only educated and persuade people to adopt the small family norm by offering incentives. But a lot needs to be done achieved in the object of adoption of small family norm by the people themselves. In this context our craftsmen who are also responsible citizens and a vital part of the society, have acquired special role in checking the population explosion which is taking place in the country.
Small family norm means adoption of policy of having only small family consisting of two children and parents. It is often seen that in the poor section of the society generally little attention is paid to this important aspect. In many poor families there are even more than six to seven children. This happens largely because of ignorance, illiteracy, poverty and superstition beliefs like children are a good –given gift in which man has no role. Because of such beliefs they are afraid to adopt methods of controlling the family.
