A Grand Mother From Ohio

I’ve often wondered about how a woman reacts after one of her own has their own child!

First of all they graduate to another stage in life as a grand mother. If that grandchild

grows up and has children then she becomes a great grand mother. And if that child grows

up and has children then she becomes a great great grandmother! I guess it could go on

based on the ladies longevity! A cousin of mine has over 20 grandchildren! This story

tells of Diane from Ohio, a grand mother of seven! She has this to say about her

grand children!

What tickles me is their innocence. At times they are fighting and just as quick all

“lovey dovy’ hugging and kissing. Each grand child reacts to Life in their own special

way.

Gavin our youngest at six is the humorist of the family and an inspiration for my abstract art. When I get on my computer he is “all eyes”. He is building quite an imagination for a six year old! He tells me what he imagines like the super villain, monsters and grandpa his

idol always getting the bad guys!

Saccura at eight acts like she’s already grown up and way too savvy for her age. She cares about people’opinions and tries to please everyone. Grandpa tells tall tales and gets an oh really. Now she just rolls her eyes and says yeah right!

My other five grand kids I can’t spend too much time with because they’re going to school and church and sports programs

after school. All of a sudden it seems they’re grown up and gone!

Our eight year old set of twins Ashton and Trinity are quite the opposite! Trinity is the all girl type dressing up and playing with dolls! She does play soccer because she doesn’t get too dirty! She took dance for a while and is in the church choir and calls

her mom and dad Mother and Father! If we lived in California she would be a typical Valley Girl with lots of beauty and a lot more

ego.

Ashton is more the tomboy type and not so much the Girly Girly. Her favorite saying is if a boy can do it I can do it I can do it better and quicker! She is a tiny and petite girl and that’s

probably why she is so tough! Ashton likes snakes, lizards and

bugs and climbs a tree faster than her brothers most of the time. She usually has to change clothes twice on church days

because she keeps getting into things.

Ten year old Derek does Pee Wee Herman impressions and what’s

coming from his mouth next is anybodies guess. Derek “cracks me up.”

Fourteen year old Dustin is a quiettil he has something to say and even then it’s “off the wall” funny. He loves and has played most of the popular sports. He’s currently in track running hurdles without breaking a sweat. Dustin keeps in shape!

Sixteen year old Landon is one hunk of a young man who the girls adore! It seems not so long ago that he was in my arms while I rocked him to sleep! Sigh! Landon is hot for the Lord and

that’s a good thing! He is a messenger of God and lets others know where he stands!

I’m so glad my children’s children, my grand children, turned out

so well! We must have done a few things right in that God Has Blessed me Diane, a Grand Mother From Ohio
