This is a love story where a girl was not accepted in the boy’s family just because she was from different community. The boy took his parent’s side. The girl being a dedicated lover could not bear the pain and she died.
The first time when Maria lost her loved one, she promised herself to stay away from emotions, sentiments but to live on for others who love her. The only thing she was afraid of was to be separated from her loved one and it happened once again. She broke down. The humanoid robot lie discharged in her bed for days. Being the best friend of Maria, Rila was always with her sitting near the tear soaked pillow. Deep inside Rila felt sorry for putting the word “Nick” in her ears.
She has stopped dreaming of the future where Nick is not there. For her, Nick was the strong shoulder on which she can lay her head and weep her heart out. He was next to everything. Without him, nothing will be better again. No one ever thought that she will be such a dedicated lover. But she is and she always was.
She was lying on her hospital bed. Her body is not accepting the dextrose drops. No worries, no happiness and no expressions on her face. She was counting her last minutes. She lost the desire to live.
Meanwhile, Nick was unaware of all these. He didn’t talk to Maria after that day to give her some time to think over, forget and to resume her normal life. He never had the slightest idea of how much she loves him. But a phone call from Rila disclosed everything. Maria was bedridden since the last few days and now her condition is critical. His body freeze suddenly. Maria is his only love though never disclosed in words. He had to choose between his Mom and Maria, so he acted very rough to her. He was a good son but he cursed himself for being the worst lover.
The first flight took him near Maria. She was lying on the hospital bed peacefully. Everyone turned around when he entered the room. His vision gets blurred at the first sight of his love. His eyes were filled with tears. He realized how much he loves her and was ready to face anything to be with her.
Reaching out his hand for her face, he confessed “Maria, I am sorry. I didn’t mean it. I love you. I love you.”
There was no response from the other side. Maria was dead. She had closed her eyes half an hour before. She had succumbed to her unseen pain.
