This is a love story where a girl was not accepted in the boy’s family just because she was from different community. The boy took his parent’s side. The girl being a dedicated lover could not bear the pain and she died.
“Drama? I did drama? Did I ever propose you? Did I ever say, marry me?” Nick shouted back.
The answer is a big “No”. Nick has never proposed Maria. He never said “I love you”. Maria was confused, if he had not uttered those precious words, what they talked about all these days? Nothing she had just wasted her time in those useless phone calls. And, what about Nick? He was also not at safer side. What he thought when he collected those heavy phone bills? And the chocolates? And above all what about the mobile he gifted last month? Errrrrrrrr !!!!!! Everything has shattered with Nick’s few words.
Drowned in tears Maria raise one last question “Nick, Please tell me the truth. Didn’t you ever feel anything about me? Or I was just a time-pass for you? Please Nick, your words are killing me.
Controlling his emotions Nick turned towards Maria, “See Maria, you are a very sweet girl and you know what you mean to me. Everything need not be told in words. But I can’t go against my parents specially Mom. It may hurt you but I must say this-I can sacrifice thousands of girls like you for my Mom.”
“When did I ask to go against? I want you to convince them if you love me. But after all these, my heart ache that it was my biggest mistake to have fallen in love with you.”
“Please stop blaming me. Did I do anything wrong to you? Is it a big crime that I wanted you to be happy? I saw your tears one evening so I just wanted you to release some of your burden. That’s all.” Nick explained.
No further clarification was required to mend a broken relation between two persons of different caste. Sympathy and curiosity to know the reason behind Maria’s attitude towards life was his main motive (as she thought). The phone call ended abruptly. Nick left for his native place in the early morning without disturbing her.
Next morning was very late for Rila to realize that tension grew and spread like a forest fire to each neuron of Maria’s brain. Her immune system started rejecting the blood pumping device as if it is a xenograft. Millions of cells joined hands for hunger strike. Vital organs forgot their function. She is scared to live on. She is experiencing the pain again and this time more severe.
