10 Minute Meals
How would you like to get a meal your family will love on the table in 10 minutes? Here are some that will fill the bill and get you out of the kitchen fast.
Here are several meals you can get on the table fast after a long hard day. There are some days that you just want to take your shoes off and put your tired feet up. Keep a few ingredients on hand so when that happens to you, you will have the makings of a fast meal that will make your family and you happy.
- Mix ground turkey and chopped onions. Form into patties and cook through. Serve on buns with cranberry sauce. Heat a jar of turkey gravy. Add a salad and it’s a meal.
- Heat a can of refried beans. Stir in shredded cheese and salsa. Warm tortillas in a skillet and fill with bean mixture, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream if you wish.
- Saute sliced chorizo and chopped onion in a skillet until brown. Add frozen green peas, then beaten eggs. Scramble and roll up in warmed Cuban bread, or serve on a whole wheat bun.
- Drizzle cut sides of seeded rolls with Italian dressing. Fill with drained olives and slices Genoa salami, ham and provolone cheese.
- Spread thick slices whole grain or challah bread with mustard. Make sandwiches with sliced Swiss cheese, ham, and baby spinach leaves. Spread sandwiches with butter and cook in heated skillet until both sides are brown.
- Cook pasta in pot of boiling water. Drain, toss with cheddar cheese, chunky salsa, drained canned corn and chopped cilantro.
- Steam broccoli florets in microwave. Cut boneless chicken thighs in 1 in.pieces. Pour a jar of tikka masala cooking sauce into large skillet. Bring to simmer and add chicken. Cook covered about 5 minutes until cooked through. Stir in broccoli and serve with quick rice.
- Dip tilapia fillets in beaten egg and coat with corn meal. Heat oil in skillet. Pan fry until cooked through. Serve with deli cole slaw and microwaved french fries.
- Heat broiler. Make a few cross wise slashes in low fat kielbasa. Brush with honey mustard and broil. Meanwhile saute sliced onions in oil until golden. Stir into warmed refrigerated mashed potatoes. Serve with kielbasa.
- Bring canned minestrone soup to a simmer. Add refrigerated mini-ravioli and simmer until tender. Add a few handfuls of baby spinach. Cook until wilted. Serve with grated cheese and Italian bread.
You can add a bagged salad from the grocery and a fruit to any of these quickies to make a hearty meal. I hope these quick easy meals will make your hectic days a little more restful and give you more time to spend doing the things you love.

Great ideas… though I can’t see any member of my household eating any of them, nor do I have most of those products in the house. Great article, though.

Mrs. Hawk these are great ideas; I have a lover of tasty, cheap (in terms of cash), and fast meals in my house–perhaps this will persuade him to cook a little more often…
Thanks for the tips; they are very inspirational.
See you around!
