Planning a Super Bowl Party
Tortilla chips are an important part of any super bowl party.
The fall season in Michigan is in full swing. That means raking leaves, pumpkin carving, turkey and football. Football season is a favorite sport of many Americans. It is a short season, but the end event, the Super Bowl, may as well be a holiday for many. Whether you are interested in watching for the commercials, the halftime show or the game, the Super Bowl is one of the most watched television events yearly. Each year, there are thousands of Super Bowl parties across the country and they all feature similar things-snacks, beer and big screen TVs.
Planning a Super Bowl party can be a blast. The number one important thing to have is a high-definition (HD) big screen TV. Retailers are smart this time of year and run sales on TVs. So if you are in the market, January and February are good months to purchase a TV. If you do not want to take that route, you can always rent, but make sure to place your order in advance. It is obvious also that you need cable to watch the game.
Now, when it comes to party favors, beer of course is needed, and lots of it. To supplement the beer, have a variety of snacks available to your guests. Some ideas include, potato chips with dip, pigs in a blanket, pizza and tortilla chips with salsa. Making homemade dips is the way to go, especially with salsa. Also, make sure to purchase authentic corn tortilla chips, not the healthy alternatives, they are not as tasty.
Super Bowl parties are simple and easy. All you need is your good group of friends, simple snacks and cold beer. Everyone can enjoy this day, even if it is just to watch the commercials or the halftime show. Being one of the most watched television events all year guarantees some type of good entertainment.

I agree that home made salsa is better than store bought.
