Planning a Quinceanera Party

This article provides you a brief idea about organizing and celebrating a Quinceanera party: 

1.  Discuss your idea of a Quinceanera

You must decide and discuss the idea of a quinceanera with your parents or your legal guardian. You must first obtain their approval and they can plan a budget for the celebration party. You must start preparing for the quinceanera for at least 6 months to 1 year in advance and you must be fully aware that the responsibility of expenses is taken care by your family members.

2. Fix the date of a party

You can choose the party according to your wish by fixing it on your birthday or you may set the date that is convenient to your friends and relatives that they can attend the party without giving it a miss. They may possibly find it difficult to attend if your party is scheduled during winter season or on a working day. However, scheduling it during week days can help your out-of-town relatives to attend the party.

3. Choose the venue

You can choose a right place to have your quince such as a banquet hall, hotels, party halls, resort, reception hall etc. based on your budget. You must first make a note of number of attendees and book the hall based on its ability to accommodate people. You can also traditionally arrange a ceremony at a church and host a celebration party at a reception hall. 

4. Arrange for an escort and fourteen young couples

 Traditionally, a quinceanera must consider including fourteen couples and an escort who is usually a boy for the event. Fourteen young couples of her age must dance for a Quince and host a surprise dance. If you do not have fourteen friends then you can choose your cousins as substitutions or you may have an option to have seven couple for the event. You also have an option to let your girl-friends dance for the event. You can present gifts to attended couple who has danced for the event which is also a custom.

5. Plan the outfits for the quince and fourteen couples

You must plan the outfits for seven girls and seven boys and for a quince by taking precise measurements, heights, feet sizes for each individual. You must design an outfit for the quince as early as 6 months in advance so that the outfit gets ready in a predicted time.

6. Plan to arrange food, drinks and music

You must arrange variety of food and offer drinks on a fest of quinceanera. You must decide your favorite food and request your parents to make sure that they serve it on this special occasion.
