There are festival and celebrations all around the year. For every celebration we are familiar with, there are always sushi lovers and sushi fans for whom the celebration is not complete without their favourite food.
When is the right time to eat sushi? Actually the answer is anytime. Regardless of whether it is valentine day, Christmas, thanksgiving or Halloween at the moment, the exotic food called sushi could be there with you to celebrate the festivity of the season.
Sushi for Valentine Day

Because nothing says “I love you” better than a Valentine sushi set.

In Japan it is customary for girls to give chocolate as a present to the boys they have some feeling with during Valentine Days. But if the particular boy you are going for is dead handsome and extremely popular, it is probably important for you to do something different. That way you may prevent the boy from labeling you as “just another girl” and get his recognition.
For your information, these poems below are optional:
- Tobiko are red, maguro are too, but I will do anything to be with you.
- Maguro are red, Aotobiko are blue, If you will have me, I will have you.
Sushi for Christmas

The sushi this Christmas tree is made of is not really real sushi. They are sushi shaped plastic food displays arranged to make a Christmas tree. I think they could add starfish on top of this Christmas tree.
However smaller version made from real edible sushi stacked together do exist and would be a real Christmas treat for any sushi lovers and sushi fanatics.
Sushi for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a harvest festival commonly celebrated by eating roasted turkey. But roasting is not the only way to prepare turkey-based dish. Why not make sushi from turkey meat for a change once in a while?
Sushi for Halloween

For every occasion we could think of, there are always sushi lovers who celebrate the occasion with sushi. Halloween is not an exception. If you happen to be a sushi lover as well, this sushi could be given as treats, assuming you don’t prefer tricks instead.
Sushi for Birthday Party

Birthday cakes we normally consume contain a lot of sugar and saturated fat. Eating them too much could have undesirable effect for our health. Salmon meat however is rich in Omega-3-Fatty Acid which belongs to unsaturated fatty acids family. This unsaturated fatty acid is essential for normal growth of both young children and animals. Changing your usual birthday cakes with sushi birthday cakes may increase the number of birthday cakes you could eat during your entire lifetime.
Sushi for Obama Inauguration and Presidential Campaign

This sushi art shown above was made by an instructor in Tokyo Sushi Academy, Tokyo, Japan during recent presidential campaign in United States to support him.
There is a city in Fukui Prefecture, Japan which happens to have the same name with United States recently elected president, Obama. The town leaders of Obama, Fukui Prefecture, Japan hope to get more tourists visiting their city and the merchants there already were selling Obama sushi rolls in support of United States president elect, Barack Obama.
