Dolphin Themed Leaving Party Ideas

Well a dear friend of mine was off on her travels, her destination being Florida. For the only reason, that she is passionate about dolphins!

Living the dream in more ways than one for her.  Having been friends for many years, it was an extremely sad occasion.  I remember as a child, being obsessed with dolphins and adopting one many years ago, when that was all the thing (back then!).

So when my dear friend shared her news, that she was jet setting it to Florida to continue her passion and seek out the one thing she has spent years studying – dolphins, it was no shock in many respects.

This left me the challenge of arranging, yes of course a dolphin themed leaving party.  I didn’t want to overdo it and make everyone come dressed as a dolphin, though the thought had crossed my mind and how hilarious it would be!

Instead, I stuck to decorating the restaurant we were attending.  It was pretty difficult coming up with ideas for a leaving party theme that wasn’t as common as most.  I chose to line the dinner tables with blue covers and spread some sand, yes I said sand over the centre of the tables and had small glass bowls filled with water and little floating dolphins that I purchased from Ebay.

Though it may sound crazy, it did actually look very effective and was just the little kick I needed, without going over the top.

I then purchased the most cutest little dolphin place cards from Fairytale Favours and had them personalised with the guests names on.  I placed them on all the guests wine glasses, not only for my own organisation skills but also as the final touch to the them I needed.

They were so cute and I was really surprised to come across them!

The evening went well and everyone was commenting on my theme and how I had managed to pull it off, without it being corny – why thank you.

So I would like to say again another huge thank you to www.fairytale-favours.co.uk, that offer the most unique and cute little accessories, not only for the wedding day but for any special occasion.
