The Most Important Items to Get When Leaving House in a Emergency

It is amazing what some people say when I ask my friends this question, I’ve had answers from a piece of carpet for proof you owned carpet to getting your favorite underwear.
These items are the most important items that are valuable and should be thought of first, i hope you like the list.
1. Photos and photo albums
I can assure you that this is easily the most important item to grab in an emergency. Grab any and every parents wedding photos to baby photos, let me assure you these cannot be replaced.
2. Money
I know numerous people who have money under their mattress or hidden somewhere in there house up to thouands of dollars and let me assure you, if you can find a way to prove that all that money was there, you are NOT getting it back.
3. Passports and wallets
These things are a hassle to get again and will take quite a while to order new credit cards, passports, drivers license. If you cant get your passport back you have to get new photo very annoying! An example of this difficulty is when I lost my wallet, let me tell you the difficulty to get a new license and credit cards, and don’t forget the donut shop VIP card! I was one donut away from a free one…!
4. Any living animal in your household
Don’t forget you’re pets! They are one of you you have to take them with you, and if you really loved them this would be the first thing you think of!

Trust me, the first thing I’ll have to secure is my laptop. It’s got my family’s photos, videos and …all my Triond files?

I agree with what JK Kristie said. The laptop is crucial because of Photos and information stored in there!

Yes, I would not be able to function without my laptop.

Some of this stuff seems obvious, but in an emergency you’re probably not thinking straight. Good list. Thanks.

Good thoughts. My parents knew someone who lost their house to a fire and the thing they missed the most were the pictures.

I’d have to rescue four desktop computers. Hopefully it will be one of those “you have plenty of time to figure out where the blue wire goes” emergencies.

Hopefully we don’t have to think about this, but it would be nice if we didn’t lose these things!

Years ago, I would have definitely listed photos at the top of my list, but like a lot of other people, nowadays it would definitely have to be my laptop as all my photos are on there, not to mention loads of other things. I’d be lost without it!

It’s good to think about this in advance, just in case. Thanks for the prompt. Nicely done!
