Be Prepared

One of the most important parts of life, is just a matter of being prepared – for anything.

Be prepared, how many times have we heard that? The motto of the Boy Scouts of America is, to be Prepared. All new moms are forewarned, about motherhood. Mothers all around come out to tell a new mom, what to expect, and what to do.

What does it really mean to be prepared?

To be prepared is to be educated, and experienced, to expect the unexpected and to know what to do in that situation. Everyday we experience something new, and we add that to our knowledge bank, we are constantly learning and storing ideas, thoughts and things that are happening all around us. We learn about first aid, when we are very young, wash the area, with soap and water, and cover it if possible. This is something that once learned will stay in you memory; especially if your prone to falling.

All this information is stored upstairs in your mind, and when there is a reason to recall this information; we are then prepared, to handle the situation.  Whether it is a medical emergency, and someone broke a bone, or is bleeding, such as something that could happen in automobile accident.

That is what being prepared is all about, its training, whether your in the Scouts, Military, a sales person in a department store, or a mom. The more experience you obtain through life’s repetition of doing things, the better prepared you will be for future occurrences.

Unfortunately, the training part of being prepared is very important; your knowledge bank can be over flowing, but if you do not act, then what you have learned or experienced through life becomes useless. We are all afraid of making mistakes, but that is a part of the living; and it is fear itself; that keeps us from becoming who we really are. To be strong and confident, learn the important things in life; to explore and become educated is a goal we should all seek.  When these things are accomplished it is then that you are truly prepared.
