Arkansas Flooding Day Two

More pictures of the flooding out where I live in Wright, AR.

Arkansas Flooding day 2

Previous:  Day 1

I filmed the above video this morning.  This is the road I travel when I leave to go anywhere.  No other way in or out from where I live in Wright, AR.

I live within 300 feet of Lake Hensley.  It is up a foot from yesterday and beginning to come up into the yard today.

This photo is of what is normally a field of grass for the cows to graze.  Today it looks like a lake.

This photo is normally a big mud puddle in the woods, now it is about five feet deep at this location.

Here you see the water crossing the road between where I live and my only neighbor on this dead end road.  About 30 feet of the road has been washed out and over 18 inches deep has been washed away.  This happened during the night.  Also the drainage pipe that went under the road here has been washed away.  Before my neighbors can return home, this will have to be filled in with more than one dump truck load.

I walked out into the water where it was only about three inches deep to take the above photo and while I was out there, I heard what I thought was the neighbors dog following me.  I turned auround to find that it was a fish that had gotten washed up into this shallow part and was splashing about trying to get back into deeper water.

I took this picture and then helped the fish get back to deeper water.

I’ve been told today that the Arkansas river is receding today, but I can’t tell that from where I live.
