Thermoplastic

A thermoplastic is a type of plastic made from polymer. It becomes a liquid when it is heated and becomes very hard and glass like when it is cooled. Unlike Thermo set plastic, Thermoplastic can be remodeled by heating it. If a Thermo set plastic is heated, it will be hard like and break. Thermoplastic can be recycled by heating the plastic and make it into different shape. The chain is not joined to so it can be reshaped. There are a lot of different kinds of thermoplastic. Different thermoplastic have different strength and density. Some are used to make guitar picks.

Thermo set Plastic

Thermo set Plastic is plastic that is hardened and it cannot be reshaped after it is set. Thermo setting plastics are synthetic materials that become very strong when it is heated, but cannot be changed or remodeled after it is heated even if you try reheating it again. The chain is three dimensional cross-linked networks of polymer chains.
